Unlimited bread and olive oil with spices during every visit. The unlimited soup and salad for lunch Monday to Friday is my favorite here. The dinners are good sized and large in portions, but pasta dinners for almost $20 is a bit much for my thrifty side but hey do have half sized pasta dinners for less, I'm a big eater though so that wouldn't work for me but it is a nice option. There are some cheaper options like their panini sandwiches that are really good and not to pricey at all. No one in your group will be disappointed here. They have a bunch of gluten free options and whole wheat noodles too if thats your thing.

I tried this place years ago and wasn't a big fan. We decided to try it again, one last time. I have to say our meal was delicious. We had the artichoke dip for an appetizer. It was super cheesy and awesome. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was more creamy goodness. My husband had something with penne noodles and he really liked it. Our waitress was attentive and I had a great experience. Will go back again.

A fine local chain, where they actually make the food to order. It's not fine dining, that is to say, you won't be asked to pay $35 for a small plate. It is the best of family or couple dining. Fresh food, reasonable prices. A sports bar section for those who want that and a quiter restaurant section for the rest of us. Their Walleye is a good example. An ample piece of fish, pan fried (not dipped in grease) with baby red potatoes. Much better than a standard fish fry. Their pizzas are another good example. Nice mix of hand made styles, thin crust. Not the deep dish bready stuff or the basic red sauce you can get anywhere. So if you want food that is actually cooked and not just processed , give them a try.

Nice for a break from I-39 (easy exit and re-entry). The kids will like it (they get pizza dough to play with) but the food is nothing special. Think Olive Garden with less salt but higher prices. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Decor is nice as well. It looks and feels like a chain right down to the Hall & Oates on the Muzak. I had the "Margarita" pizza which was a bit too oily but tasted good and my son had the Alfredo pasta (regular order $16) which he seemed to like.

This is one of those restaurants where I enter into a debate with myself: Do I give it 5 stars or do I give it 4 stars? The dipping oil for the bread: 5 stars The italian bread: 3 stars. The house salad: 4 stars. The house dressing: 5 stars. The Mediterranean pasta: 5 stars. The squash ravioli and cinammon pork entree overall: 4 stars (because of the sauce being a little too sweet). The squash ravioli and the pork tenderloins: 5 stars. See what I mean? Very friendly wait staff (Liz). Nice ambience Value for the money: 5 stars.

2 of us here last eve, first time. Waitress says everything made by hand, no frozen, no microwave. I had a seafood pasta dish. Was good. Friend had same. Good service. Good choice here.

Every time I get to Stevens Point, I try to get to Graziers. Even though I've never been there when business is slow, the service has always been prompt and efficient. First of all, they have the best cheese curds outside the county fair. the Vegan options, or easily convert able meat entrees, for my son make it another good choice. Took him and my 'entourage' there for his birthday dinner and the 4 of us has a great meal for under $100, drinks and appetizers included. I guess I've been used to Seattle prices so the reverse sticker shock is always nice. Their sauces I find to be every bit as magical, or more so than, your typical family run 'authentic' Italian ristorantes. Between our varied meals, not a clinker in the bunch. Welcome to WI ya'all!

The good: - pizza (16") has decent dimensions - pizza is decently good - good choice of draft beer - friendly - wi-fi The bad - not many variety of pizza - slightly pricey

They claim to make everything fresh daily, including the pasta, and I believe 'em. They also let you mix and match ingredients since everything is assembled to order. It wasn't AMAZING food, but it was good. Very friendly servers too. No complaints!

Stopped by for dinner on a quick trip and took the food to go. If you are going for service, this place was great. We were greeted right away by a friendly host and escorted to the bar. Even though we were leaving, we were offered drinks and casual conversation. We got soup, a salad and a sandwich. POTATO SOUP: I found it odd that the soup was brought out first since it would get cold, but it tasted good. Creamy and smooth. GREEK SALAD: Standard Greek salad. It was fresh and a good service size to fill you up. TUSCAN WRAP: This was not on my plate but it smelled good. The wrap was a honey beer bread that I tasted and enjoyed. Unique flavor. I would steer clear of the seasonal veggies as they were just large carrots and zucchini pieces that were grilled. Not you appetizing. Overall, we had a good experience here, just wasn't blown away.

The location of Grazies couldn't have been better. It is located right next to the Fairfield Inn. I was thrilled to find that they had gluten free rice pasta. As a result, I had a nice selection of choices to chose from. The pasta was pretty good and nicely proportioned for the price. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was nice and clean. They had TVs to catch the latest games;however, their digital signal seemed glitchy. While trying to watch Monday Night Football, the loss of signal and screen would freeze every so often. It might have been the weather, but who knows. On the bright side their bar is fully stocked and it is a short walk to the hotel.

Tried the spicy garlic with chicken from the lunch menu. Couldn't ask for more for the price offered. I generally don't eat mushrooms, but the garlic sauteed mushrooms, i wish I had more in my plate!!! It was super tasty!! The staff & the manager were cordial as well! I hate to say this but only if the bread was a bit softer, I'd have given 5 stars.

I went to Grazie's a few times, and it was always a pretty good experience. Their bread and dipping oil is fantastic! Every time we went, appetizers were half off, I think in the late afternoon. Portion sizes are huuuge for the pasta dishes, and there were always leftovers. The service was fast and friendly. Grazie's offers a free meal on your birthday--alright!.

Stopped for lunch. Decor is nice enough (think Olive Garden). Had a chicken wrap that was OK but not very memorable. Came with a plate of fairly tired bread with a very spicy dipping oil; the oil was too spicy, but a nice try. I chose pasta salad as a side (thinking of pasta, fresh veggies. olive oil, herbs...), and was served a little bowl of tri-color rotini slathered in mayonnaise. Yuck. I didn't eat it, which is a possible first for me. Tiramisu for dessert was really quite delicious, made fresh to order or at least fresh each morning. Cost of the meal was low, but don't think I'm likely to return.

Thought I'd give this place a try as it was next to my hotel and it was a cold, snowy night, I didn't want to drive anywhere. I ordered the chicken parmesan, side of meatballs and the soup (chili). I use this order as a good judge of an Italian restaurant. It was not one of my better meals; the chicken was overcooked and greasy, hidden under a ton of cheese. The fettuccine was all stuck together and nearly impossible to eat. The sauce was very lack-luster in flavor and needed something to make it enjoyable. The strangest thing of all was the side of meatballs; I received them in a small container, each one smaller than a golf ball. Stranger still was the fact that they came without any sauce. I had six cold naked meatballs in a Styrofoam container, something I have never seen before in my life. Chili came in another small container and also was nothing special. Tasted like something straight out of a can and was not unique at all. The only good thing about the chili was that I was able to dip the cold naked meatballs in it, so they had something on them and tried to save them. The seasoned bread came with no butter, was a bit hard and appeared to be left out for a while before it even hit the to-go bag. So I've been stuck with a meal that had overcooked chicken, stuck together noodles, hard bread and cold naked meatballs. At least three quarters of it went into the trash and I ended up with chips for the hotel lobby for my dinner. Total cost with tax, $22.30 and what was with the fact that I had to pay $0.87 as a to-go charge that was also a first for me. My recommendation would be to look for someplace else and pass this by for a better meal.

My friends and I stop here when we're in the area. It's good in terms of basics. The place is kept clean, the food is pretty good. (It's not like a genuine Italian place, but few are these days.) Price is decent, and they have a well stocked bar. The only thing that has ever put me off is some of the wait staff and managers. We've had some good ones, but also very rushed and rude servers. I subtracted a star purely for one incident, in where we came through the front door and waited to be seated. The, what I understood to be, assistant manager (a male) was sitting on his cell phone texting or something, and didn't even look up. When we asked if we should just seat ourselves, he again didn't look up and simply reply "No. You shouldn't. Just hold on", and continued to text. It was incredibly rude and felt unwelcoming.

grazie (Italian): a grateful feeling or acknowledgment of a benefit, favor, or the like, expressed by words or otherwise. Thank you. In other words, Grazie means: "thanks". Many Italians use the word "grazie" when they receive great service, food, gifts, compliments, origami and hand jobs. "Grazie" is also the majority stockholder name of a semi-Italian-like restaurant in Stevens Point, WI . . . "Grazie's Italian Grill". Now, it is a known fact that Italian men (many of which are named Tony because of an oversight on Ellis Island where many of them had written "to NY" on their foreheads to ensure they would arrive in New York), are quite fond of pizza pies (among others). So, in the spirit of all those consequential Tonys, we decided to try out Grazie's pizza. I am quite the fan of pizza and most Italian food. However, as a good friend of mine named Tony once said, "Ogni regola ha un' eccezione". Translation: "There is an exception to every rule". Grazies is the exception to my like of Italian food. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and some Cheezy-er Cheese Bread. What I got was an oxymoron. No cheese and very little sausage and pepperoni rounded out the meal. The ingredients themselves were of a lackluster quality and were actually more reminiscent of another friend of mine's pizza empire. Perhaps you've heard of him . . . Tony, the owner of Tony's Pizza found in nearly every corner of the non-Italian world. Both the 16" pizza and the Cheezy-less bread weighed in at an astonishing 1.09 ounces, which I have since learned is the result of the small amounts of yeast in the crust that cause it to rise and become lighter than air. The sauce was okay, but the meager scattering of toppings really made the whole pie taste like cardboard, salty tomatoes and Sasquatch meat. The reason for the lack of a photograph in this review is the fact that there was no cheese; therefore, no smile and no click of the shutter. So if you find yourself in need of a pie of the Italian variety, but without the Buckwheat hairdo, take a walk down to your local grocery or convenience store and let my friend Tony hook you up. His pizzas are better tasting, cheaper, and won't break your wallet or your arm. And, if by chance, Tony offers you something other than a great tasting pie at a reasonable price, just tell him: "No Grazie's!"

I found this place on Yelp and stopped for lunch on Sunday. We wanted to go to Matsu Ya sushi but they're closed on Sunday - bummer! This was just down the street a couple blocks. I didn't care for the bread they serve - dry and starchy. The dipping sauce was a bit over seasoned. They need to keep it simple, start with good quality bread and use extra virgin olive oil and a little Parmesan. This stuff was just too over-powering. We tried the pizza - chicken bruchetta which had a nice flavor, but we kind of grew tired of it. The service was decent, but didn't seem to be very experienced. My daugher spilled some of her water glass and wipped it up with her only napkin when the waiter brought our the food. He just asked if she was OK, but didn't bring more napkins. I hope we time our next trip better and get some sushi down the road, it sounds awesome.

This is my favorite place to eat while I travel. I live in Indiana and I'm always excited to know that I'm gonna be traveling up to Stevens point. I disagree with many of the reviews about the bread I love it... And I love the spicy dipping oil...don't change a thing! My favorites are the spicy garlic the tequila lime and the Mediterranean... All pasta dishes. But, be aware if you've never had the Mediterranean its quite a different dish. The waitstaff has always been friendly... ambience is good... Love the big screens. If you had to corral me into making one complaint.... I would like to see the salads just little bit bigger. I've got a tequila lime and a spicy garlic in the back of my car right now... taking them home for the family

Positives: Service was great, and the dipping Oil was very tasty, the tomato mix for the bruschetta was delicious, and the small orders of pasta are more than enough if you also grab an appetizer. Negatives: Grazie's claims to be Fresh and Homemade. I don't think anything in the restaurant is homemade; maybe the free bread you are given. I had the Bruschetta, the Seafood Pescatore, and the Merlot and my dinning partner had the Sun-dried Tomato Pesto with a side of meatballs with the Chardonay. The food was subpar: noodles were most likely sitting for awhile before served: meatballs had the consistency of packaged frozen meatballs, nothing I ate was exceptionally tasty. Grazie's is far from Italian and resides closer to bad American Italian fusion. The food was way to expensive for how unsatisfied we were with the dining. For the price I would expect quality as a Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant, but what you receive is a bit like pre-cooked frozen dinners. I would never recommend this place to anyone visiting Steven's Point.

So so Italian! The Spicy garlic chicken is beyond good! Still its a bit pricey and has a weird atmosphere, imagine listing to country radio while eating in an Italian themed restaurant!

We stopped at Grazie's on our way home. Trying to avoid the standard fast food options, Grazie's was a nice change of pace. I was completely surprised by the food here but in a good way. I wasn't expecting much but thought it was a good sign when they gave my niece a small piece of pizza dough to play with while we waited for our food to arrive. Homemade pizza dough usually means good pizza. If I'm ever back I would definitely try it out. My burger was cooked perfectly and they even grilled the bun which provided a nice crunch to each bite. Bonus points for the small details like that. This also seems like the kind of modern place you could go to for watching sporting games. They have a nice bar area with several plasma TVs. Overall, this is a great place to visit on a trip or for locals to come in the area for a cheaper but still tasty dinner. The food appears to be very fresh and I like the attention to detail.

I have to agree with the solid 4/4.5 star reviews of Grazie's. I'm up visiting a friend and we drove by, thought they looked interesting, and gave it a shot. The decor is nice, very clean, lots of natural light and the dining room isn't too big or too small. The service was very friendly, and though they did not have a table for us right away, the bartender was really nice and the drink prices very reasonable. Our waitress was very nice as well and brought us more of the amazing bread and dipping oil while our meal was baking. Because they really do make almost everything to-order. Our dishes were very fresh tasting and filling with plenty of left-overs for lunch tomorrow. Didn't have dessert because we were too full, but the choices look divine and I'll remember to save room if/when I am back in the area. My only complaint was that when we walked in and through most of our meal, the sound system was playing some nice contemporary alt rock that was awkwardly changed to a country station as we were finishing our meal. Ick.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
